Notes on Process: Practical Workshop
Summary
Bio-power is a new form of bio fuel, made out of waste vegetable oil collected from restaurants and other objects. The process to make bio fuel is the best kept secret on the Planet. Everyone can make their own bio fuel, in just one day, without any chemistry and other fossil products, without any waste. When it runs in diesel engines, it doesn't produce any pollution except the CO2, but because the carbon of this fuel is stored in plants for a short time and the carbon is constantly cycling in comparson with the fossil fuels where the carbon is stored for billions of years and suddenly emited in the air, causing the greenhouse effect. The whole secret is to mix the waste oil heated up to 30 – 40ºC with 7% of solvent, that can be white spirit, terpentine oil, orange oil, terpenes, turpentine, ether and other. Then it is put in a sink with some cloth to filter the oil from any solids. Leave it for 4 weeks (the longer it sediments, the better the quality of the fuel, but it can be used right away). That's it! This kind of fuel is to take as a serious issue that can be implemented in the Permaculture lectures easily, and it is a cheap and clean way to drive arround and let the planet breath in the smell the french fries.
Key points
- Cheap and clean fuel with no pollution
- Recycling of waste vegetable oil
- Replacement of fossil fuels
