Summary
Sally works as an eco-coach and has translated tools from the cognitive sciences to support us to change the way we think, feel and communicate; so to be more effective in changing the world. Strengthen the Eco-Warrior in you; through increased personal resiliance and communicating flexibility to allow you to change the way other people think.
Key Points
- Building RAPPORT is a vital first step to successfully transmitting your message to another person, group etc. People like, and open to, people like them, and resist what is different. Really listen to what others think and feel! Notice their keywords, posture, gestures, tone of voice, rate of speaking, breathing etc. When it is your turn to speak you can match these qualities, and gain easier acceptance.
- Ideas included shifting perceptual positions, managing your state, persuasive presentation skills, possibility thinking and ecology.
- The power of intention is very effective when used consciously.
- There are many linguistic tools for IMPACT, for cutting through objections, etc.
- Those that set the frame lead the game, but reframing is possible
- Learning to give and take good feed back is really important.
- "The Axes of Change Model" is a new step-by-step process empowering you to lead and support lasting change, both of ourselves and of those around us.
