Lars Pehrson, director MERKUR bank/Tony Andersen, Denmark

Around the Globe are there a lot of Micro-financing banks. Banks that lent you a small amount of money to get going. It could be windmill, a solarcollector, money for digging a water reservoir, for establishing a nursery etc. All stuff that goes into Permaculture projects and that are not easily produce for non professionals. The ambition of the workshop is to get developed a pamphlet to introduce the Permaculture strategies, the network and the qualification – so it not will be as much a quaranty by actual income or by other assessements, but more an evaluation of the actual project and the person involved. The microbanking network in Europe works with a maximum loan of 25.000 EU. The idea of getting in touch with the regional network are that the bank in cases of insecure evaluation of a person or project, should be able to get a second opinion from the regional association and/or a Diploma holder. This for introduction into the local banks which working with this microcredit systems, and to a closer cooperation and understanding the 2 networks in between.
